The first-place Connecticut Tigers took on the Tri-City ValleyCats in front of a spirited crowd.
Behind the hitting of Allen Reed, the Connecticut Tigers defeated the Tri-City ValleyCats, 6-1. Reed threw 9.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the Tigers. Connecticut is now 27-16. Tri-City is 21-22.
