Spinners Lose, 6-4, as Cyclones Rally
|
Behind the hitting of Danny Perez, the Brooklyn Cyclones stopped the Lowell Spinners, 6-4. Perez was 1 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Cyclones. Donzel Scorsese was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Alex Hall. With the win, the Cyclones improved to 30-13.
Brooklyn used a timely hit from Alec Gingell to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Brooklyn manager Tom King.
