Though he had a terrific game, Jadon Harper could not prevent his team, the West Virginia Black Bears, from absorbing a loss. State College won the game, 3-1. Harper went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. State College reliever Matt Hobbs picked up the win, while Michael Potter took the loss for West Virginia. Earning his 5th save of the year was Chris Samson.

Jayden Adams provided a timely hit. The State College left fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Spikes on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Alex Barahona.

State College, at 24-19, occupies first place in the Pinckney Division.
