Spinners Get One-Run Win at Tri-City
|
Jose Guillen knocked in 4 runs to help Lowell beat Tri-City, 7-6. The Perth Amboy, New Jersey native tallied 2 singles and 1 home run. Lowell reliever Leon Galvez was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Alex Molina. Brandon Coombs picked up his 3rd save of the season.
With Lowell leading 3-1 in the top of the second, Guillen hit a fastball from Alex Molina for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Spinners ahead, 7-1.
"I liked our effort," said Spinners manager Victor Aquino.
