Eastwood Field was the site for New York-Penn League action featuring the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and Williamsport Crosscutters.

Mahoning Valley had no answer for Williamsport Crosscutters starter Jayden Boone, who flummoxed Scrappers hitters as the Crosscutters cruised to victory, 7-0. With the win, the Crosscutters have a record of 24-20.

The famously hardworking Boone handled the Scrappers all day, notching 6 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 3 hits. Boone, who is tied for 10th in the NYP with a 2.65 ERA, goes to 3-4 on the year with 46 strikeouts.

"Jayden's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Matt Sehnert, the Crosscutters manager.
