Scrappers Reel-In 5-3 Win Over Doubledays
Mahoning Valley left-hander Ben Mills pitched his team to victory over the Auburn Doubledays at Falcon Park. The final score was 5-3. Mills went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 10. His record improves to 4-1. The Scrappers move to 34-10 with the win, while the Doubledays drop to 17-27.

The Doubledays had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Scrappers going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old center fielder Justin Stevenson came to the plate. Stevenson hit a 2-run home run on a 0-1 changeup from Auburn hurler Bobby Bean. It was Stevenson's 5th home run of the year.

Stevenson called the win "a team effort."
