Auburn got a strong outing from Brenden Allison as the Doubledays defeated the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, 4-2, at Falcon Park. Allison picked up the win for Auburn, going 5.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. The Doubledays, at 17-27, sit in last place in the Pinckney Division.

The Doubledays got a big at-bat from right fielder Bret Ramsey. For the game, Ramsey went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Auburn a 1-0 lead.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Allison.
