The Aberdeen Ironbirds pinned a convincing loss on the Connecticut Tigers, 10-1, at Ripken Stadium. Hubert Finucene was a main factor in the win. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Aberdeen. Getting the save was Steve Oliver, his 1st. The Ironbirds, at 34-10, sit in first place in the McNamara Division.

Fernando Martinez hit a run-scoring double off Jesus Henriquez in the bottom of the third, which put the Ironbirds in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Martinez had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Aberdeen manager Josh Ouderkirk.
