Crosscutters Top Spinners, 1-0, Behind Maida
|
In a well-pitched game between the Williamsport Crosscutters and the Lowell Spinners, pitcher Josh Maida was fantastic. The Williamsport right-hander helped his team secure the win, 1-0. Danny Miranda got the save, the 2nd for him this season. The 'W' lifts Williamsport's record to 5-40.
Maida, a native of Baldwin, Pennsylvania, was dealing all game. He kept Lowell hitters off-balance, while giving the Crosscutters 6.1 quality innings. Maida threw 76 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 7.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Lowell skipper Mike Medlock, "and it cost us."
