Lazaro Rodriguez impressed in the 7-4 Connecticut win over Staten Island. Rodriguez, who is tied for 3rd in the NYP in stolen bases with 19, was 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 3 times. Allen Cheney got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. Miguel Gandara was credited with the save for Connecticut, his 2nd of the season.

The Tigers got a big at-bat from shortstop Jon Ramirez. For the game, Ramirez was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Connecticut a 4-2 lead.
