ValleyCats Topple Ironbirds, 8-3
The Tri-City ValleyCats picked up a win at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, downing the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 8-3. On the mound for Tri-City was left-hander Justin Hose, who played a pivotal role in the win. Hose got the win, improving to 7-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. David Tucker finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

The Ironbirds had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the ValleyCats going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old left fielder Bobby Inojosa came to the plate. Inojosa hit a 2-run triple on a 1-0 changeup from Aberdeen hurler Luis Garcia. It was Inojosa's 1st triple of the year.

"Nice win," said Inojosa. "Not sure what else you want me to say."

Tri-City bumps their record to 23-24 with the win.
