Scrappers Use Late Surge to Win
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers faced a tough opponent in West Virginia pitcher Josh Mack, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Russell Diethrick Park by a final score of 7-1. Mack went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. With this game in the books, Mahoning Valley is 26-21, West Virginia 22-25.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 21-year old left fielder Josh Mills. Mills had a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Scrappers ahead, 2-1. For the game, Mills had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
