Guadalupe Torres never let Vermont get something going. The Auburn right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Doubledays to a 5-1 win. In 6 innings, Torres surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Auburn is 29-18 and Vermont, with the loss, 20-27.

The Doubledays got a big hit from first baseman Will Brady. Facing Vermont pitcher Roger Tolson in the bottom of the fifth, Brady pounded a run-scoring triple to left-center. His 1st triple of the season put the Doubledays ahead, 3-1.
