Salinas Powers Lake Monsters Offense
Lake Monsters second baseman David Salinas put his stamp on his team's 7-3 win over the Batavia Muckdogs. Salinas was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Vermont in the contest. Malik Olds earned the save for Vermont, his 2nd of the year. The first-place Lake Monsters improved to 30-18.

Salinas contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Vermont in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Salinas took a slider from Ashley Rodda and stroked the home run to left-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Lake Monsters to leap in front, 4-1.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Salinas told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
