Blanco Stellar as Spikes Coast to 10-1 Win
The rain did not keep State College and Mahoning Valley from finishing their game.

The State College Spikes and starting pitcher Carlos Blanco stifled the Mahoning Valley offense en route to a comfortable 10-1 win at Eastwood Field. State College now owns a record of 23-25.

Blanco made it look effortless. He scattered 3 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. The State College left-hander encountered little resistance from the Mahoning Valley hitters. His season record is now 4-3.

"We didn't help ourselves, it's as simple as that," said losing manager Ramiro Tobar.
