The Aberdeen Ironbirds besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Connecticut first baseman Mike O'Neal by beating the Tigers, 8-4, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. O'Neal went 3-4 with a triple and a double. Aberdeen's winning streak has reached 4 games.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jason Lewis? The Aberdeen left fielder had a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ironbirds on top, 8-4. For the game, Lewis had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"They had a good approach," Connecticut skipper Sean Raymond said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
