|
Lowell right-hander Efrain Fernandez pitched his team to victory over the Vermont Lake Monsters at Edward A. LeLacheur Park. The final score was 5-3. Paul Senor, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. Lowell has a record of 25-23, placing them third in the Stedler Division.
Tony Hernandez, who is tied for 3rd in the NYP in stolen bases with 16, helped out the Lowell cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 2 with 2 walks.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Hernandez told the Lowell Chronicle.
