5 Straight Wins for Cyclones
|
Brooklyn took on West Virginia in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Matt Blom, in particular, was fantastic. The right-hander helped the Cyclones snag the win, 2-0, in 10 innings. Brooklyn is third in the McNamara Division with a record of 26-23.
Blom gave Brooklyn a first-rate performance. The 6-foot-8 right-hander permitted no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings of work.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Brooklyn skipper Kevin Stark. "I can't complain."
