Williamsport Beats West Virginia, 5-2

Edgar Montes was superb against West Virginia. The right-hander had a slider that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Crosscutters victory. The score was 5-2. Matt Thibodeaux picked up the save for Williamsport, his 4th of the year. The 5th-place Crosscutters have won 5 in a row.
Williamsport used a clutch at-bat from Richard Bertolucci to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Crosscutters ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said West Virginia manager Ken Dugles.
