Connecticut and Brooklyn duked it out and the Tigers came out victorious.

The Connecticut Tigers converted a terrific effort from starter Jose Olivas into a win over the Brooklyn Cyclones at MCU Park. The Tigers won the game by a final score of 5-2. Chris Giustino earned the save for Connecticut, his 1st of the year.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Scott Roberts? The Connecticut third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tigers on top, 4-0. For the game, Roberts had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"That's how you're going to be successful," said Tigers manager Allen Franklin. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."

Connecticut has a record of 21-29, placing them last in the Stedler Division.
