Connecticut Tigers starter Pat Blair was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 7-3. The win puts the Tigers at 33-17, while the Ironbirds drop to 30-20.

B.J. McRitchie had a big 2-run double for the Tigers in the bottom of the second inning. With Connecticut leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jeff Kubitz and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tigers ahead, 4-0.

Said Connecticut manager Sean Raymond: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."
