The Aberdeen Ironbirds went down to defeat to B.J. Williams and his Mahoning Valley teammates. The final score was 10-2 in favor of the Scrappers. The first-place Scrappers improved to 40-10.

Mahoning Valley relied on the bat of Felix Sandino to get the win. The left fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Scrappers ahead, 6-0. For the game, Sandino had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Mahoning Valley manager Mike McCormick.
