Muckdogs Take Down ValleyCats, 4-2

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Batavia Muckdogs and Tri-City ValleyCats.
The Batavia Muckdogs picked up a win at Dwyer Stadium, downing the Tri-City ValleyCats, 4-2. On the mound for Batavia was right-hander Alex Juarez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Jeff Norton was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Riley Fitzmaurice. Ippolito Michelozzo earned the save for Batavia, his 2nd.
Roberto Bautista drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances against the ValleyCats. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Batavia in front, 3-2.
Juarez told the Batavia Today: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
The Muckdogs go to 26-24, putting them third in the Pinckney Division.
