The Williamsport Crosscutters grabbed a win, 4-0, over the West Virginia Black Bears at Bowman Field. Williamsport second baseman Julio Yanez went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Armando Cerda got credit for the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 5.1 innings. Gus Perez earned the save for Williamsport.
West Virginia had runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the sixth. With two out, Jason Sirico came to bat, hoping to do some damage. Instead, he struck out. The score remained 2-0, Williamsport. The Black Bears saw their comeback bid fail.
