Rich Marshall kept the Batavia Muckdogs hitters from doing much damage at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium.

Batavia could only muster 4 hits and draw no walks against the right-handed Marshall, who controlled them throughout the game. Connecticut won the contest, 8-0. Marshall added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.

"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Marshall told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
