With 7-4 Win, ValleyCats Improve to 33-18
The Tri-City ValleyCats knocked off the Lowell Spinners, 7-4, in New York-Penn League action at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. Tri-City pitcher and Orocovis, Puerto Rico, native Miguel Fregoso had an outstanding performance. At 33-18, the ValleyCats find themselves in first place in the Stedler Division.

Jesus Barrios hit a 2-run home run off Greg Pacheco in the bottom of the sixth, which put the ValleyCats ahead, 5-4. In addition to the homer, Barrios had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"Miguel did a heck of a job," said Tri-City manager Alex Ordonez.
