Vermont pitcher Sam Roy had a large part in his team beating the Tri-City ValleyCats, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jon O'Connor earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 3-4. Vermont now sits at 32-21, while Tri-City falls to 27-26.

Vermont got a knockout punch from David Munoz. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
