Connecticut Gets 5-4 Win
The Connecticut Tigers overcame a good performance by Auburn center fielder Malachi Dash to knock off Auburn, 5-4, at Falcon Park. Dash went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. The win was credited to 21-year old right-handed pitcher Edgar Salas in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ernesto Fedele took the loss. Connecticut is now 34-19, 12½ games up in the Stedler Division.

Connecticut used a well-timed hit by Luis Cruz to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Tigers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Cruz said.
