Muckdogs Suffer 4-3 Road Loss
The State College Spikes and Batavia Muckdogs played an exciting game.

The State College Spikes beat the Batavia Muckdogs, 4-3. State College pitcher and Yucaipa, California, native Jamie Ward led the way. Earning his 3rd save for State College was Johnny Neal.

Rich Rivas drove in one run against the Muckdogs. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put State College in front, 2-1.

Rivas told the State College Bulletin: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."

The Spikes raised their record to 30-23.
