Richmond County Bank Ballpark was the site for New York-Penn League action featuring the Williamsport Crosscutters and Staten Island Yankees.

The Staten Island Yankees defeated the Williamsport Crosscutters, 8-0, in part because of second baseman Brian Eubanks. Eubanks was 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Yankees. Jose Sanchez picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-3 on the season. He struck out 2 and walked 2 in 5.2 innings, while yielding no runs.

With Staten Island leading 5-0 in the bottom of the eighth, Eubanks came up to bat against Williamsport pitcher Ian Sargent. Eubanks hit a splitter to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season put the Yankees on top, 8-0.

"We didn't put our best foot forward tonight," said losing manager Joe Hale.

The last-place Yankees have a record of 19-35.
