At Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, the Tri-City ValleyCats and Connecticut Tigers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Connecticut Tigers trumped the Tri-City ValleyCats, 7-5, at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. Connecticut right fielder Joe Dorrance was terrific. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Ryan Muir, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Elias Salinas got the save, the 4th for him this season.

Early in the game, Dorrance had a 2-run double for Connecticut. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Tigers on top, 4-2.

"We take it day by day here," said Dorrance, "and today was a good one for us."

The last-place Tigers bumped their record to 24-31.
