Ironbirds Claim 6-4 Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Aberdeen Ironbirds and Connecticut Tigers.

Good production from third baseman Josh Hood helped the Aberdeen Ironbirds topple the Connecticut Tigers, 6-4. Hood went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Ironbirds. Dusty Cosand, the winner, is now 2-2. He struck out 8 and walked 2 over 5.1 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 5 hits. David Santana was credited with the save for Aberdeen, his 1st of the season.

Aberdeen took a 6-4 lead on Hood's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Juan Colon in the top of the sixth, propelled Aberdeen to the win.

After the game, Aberdeen manager Josh Ouderkirk applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.

The Ironbirds now have a record of 38-17.
