Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Scrappers
Batavia second baseman Aiden Stevens had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Stevens went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, even as Mahoning Valley beat the Muckdogs, 5-4. Mahoning Valley pitcher Jonathan Ramos got the win. He's now 2-2. Miguel Navarrete was tagged with the loss. Esteban Rodriguez nailed down his 2nd save.

Victor Sisneros drove in one run for Mahoning Valley. With one out and the game tied in the top of the eighth inning, Sisneros had a clutch at-bat. Facing Batavia hurler Miguel Navarrete, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Scrappers a 5-4 lead.

"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Sisneros.

Today's win puts Mahoning Valley at 21-35, while Batavia falls to 21-35.
