Late Offense Lifts Aberdeen to 8-6 Victory
The Aberdeen Ironbirds beat the Hudson Valley Renegades, 8-6, in 11 innings. Aberdeen pitcher and San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic, native Mike Colon led the way. The 'W' lifts Aberdeen's record to 39-20.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Amari Spencer came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Hudson Valley pitcher Sergio Perez, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Aberdeen on top, 7-6.

"We didn't let this one get away," said Spencer.
