ValleyCats Scratch Out 2-0 Win
|
The Tri-City ValleyCats locked up a win at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, knocking off the Hudson Valley Renegades, 2-0. On the mound for Tri-City was left-hander Luis Hernandez. He played a major role in the triumph. Hideaki Asano finished to wrap up his 10th save. The third-place ValleyCats sport a record of 27-32.
Ramon Ybarra went 1-4 against the Renegades. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run that put Tri-City in front, 1-0.
"The object of the game is to score more runs than they do," said Hernandez. "Mission accomplished."
