Richmond County Bank Ballpark was the site of a tense game between the Staten Island Yankees and Lowell Spinners.
Lowell Spinners pitcher Manny Amaya was in fine form, leading his team past the Staten Island Yankees, 3-1. Lowell has run its win streak to 4 straight.
Lowell used the timely hitting of Jaquan Oliver to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Spinners on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Afterward, Spinners manager Mike Medlock said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
