Williamsport and Auburn put this game in the books despite some rain.

Pat Taylor pitched well, but the Auburn Doubledays still lost the game, falling, 3-1, to the Williamsport Crosscutters at Bowman Field. The 5th-place Crosscutters lifted their record to 23-37.

In the bottom of the sixth, Williamsport designated hitter Nate Morelock put his team on top. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit his 2nd triple of the year. Auburn pitcher Pat Taylor served it up. Just like that, the Crosscutters were ahead, 2-1.

"Every loss hurts," said Auburn manager Carlos Lugo. "But this was a tough one."
