Spinners Win Thriller, 5-3
|
Good production from designated hitter Devin Holderman helped the Lowell Spinners topple the Brooklyn Cyclones, 5-3. Holderman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Spinners. The Spinners go to 22-38, putting them third in the Stedler Division.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Holderman hit a fastball from Chris Horan for a 2-run home run. The Spinners, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Holderman told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
