Williamsport got a strong outing from Jaime Edelmann as the Crosscutters defeated the State College Spikes, 5-1, at Bowman Field. Williamsport is 30-30 and State College, with the loss, 31-29.
The Crosscutters got a big at-bat from left fielder Dustin Clark. For the game, Clark was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Williamsport a 4-0 lead.
Said State College manager Paul Thomas: "You just have to tip your cap sometimes."
