The Williamsport Crosscutters wasted an impressive 6-inning effort from starter Hector Cahue, falling, 2-1, to the Auburn Doubledays at Falcon Park. The save was credited to Glen Townley, his 1st. Williamsport now owns a losing streak of 9 games.

Austin Baker went 1-3 with a walk for Auburn. The 19-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Brian Viel. It was his 4th walk of the season.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Williamsport skipper Joe Hale.
