The 9-6 Aberdeen win over Brooklyn was due largely to Josh Hood. The Ironbirds third baseman went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 3 times. Luis Perez had a big 2-run double for the Ironbirds in the bottom of the third inning. With Aberdeen trailing 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a changeup from Alex Buitrago and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ironbirds ahead, 2-1.
