The Lowell Spinners downed the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 8-4, at Edward A. LeLacheur Park. D.J. Tanon led the way, going 3-for-4 for Lowell. Guy Tate was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Chad Bender. Jarrod Dawsey picked up the save, his 2nd.

With the game tied, 4-4, in the bottom of the sixth, Tanon had a key at-bat for Lowell. With the bases loaded, Tanon hit a 2-run single off Chad Bender, making the score 6-4, Spinners.

"We maximized our offense today," said Lowell skipper Mike Medlock. "That makes everyone's life easier."
