Cyclones Drop Yankees, 6-3
The Brooklyn Cyclones picked up a win at Richmond County Bank Ballpark, knocking off the Staten Island Yankees, 6-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Brooklyn was left-hander Trevor Owen. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Brooklyn reliever Chris Horan picked up the win. Chris Gowland took the loss for Staten Island. By defeating Staten Island, the second-place Cyclones improved to 32-31.

Adrian Jones came through with a big-time hit for Brooklyn. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Trevor was really attacking guys' weaknesses and he didn't leave a lot of balls over the plate," said Brooklyn field general Kevin Stark.
