ValleyCats Suffer 2-1 Loss to Spinners
|
The Tri-City ValleyCats wasted an inspired, 6.2-inning effort from starter Alejandro Vallejos, falling, 2-1, to the Lowell Spinners at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. At 24-39, Lowell is in last place in the Stedler Division.
Lowell took a 2-1 lead on Robby Dowd's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Dowd hit in the top of the seventh, left Tri-City pitcher Alejandro Vallejos visibly frustrated.
"We won," said Dowd. "But they made us earn it."
