5 Straight Wins for Spinners
The 3-hit performance of Rich Peterson helped the Lowell Spinners beat the Vermont Lake Monsters, 5-2. The win for the Spinners lifted their record to 43-20.

Lowell took a 2-1 lead on Steve McReynolds's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which McReynolds hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Vermont pitcher Bill Peffer visibly frustrated.

"I believe in our guys," said Lowell skipper . "I like the energy they're playing with."
