The West Virginia Black Bears rode a solid performance from 21-year-old starting pitcher Billy Bly to a win, beating the Williamsport Crosscutters, 4-0, at Russell Diethrick Park. West Virginia now has a record of 33-31 with the win.

It was an impressive outing from the soft-spoken Bly, who tallied 7 strikeouts in 6 innings and allowed only 1 hit. Bly, who is tied for 7th in the NYP with a 1.07 WHIP, raised his record to 2-4 on the year with 54 strikeouts.

"Coming in, from the get-go, I knew my stuff was good," said Bly.
