Spinners Earn Late 3-2 Win
The Lowell Spinners earned a close win over the Tri-City ValleyCats, thanks in part to Raul Cervantes. The Lowell right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the NYP in quality starts with 7, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The Spinners are now 26-39.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Camila Lrio came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Tri-City pitcher Brian Schwartz, he hit a 2-1 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Lowell on top, 3-2.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Lowell manager Victor Aquino. "It's usually not just one thing."
