Spikes Double Up Crosscutters, 4-2

The State College Spikes knocked off the Williamsport Crosscutters, 4-2, in New York-Penn League action at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. State College pitcher and Washington, District of Columbia, native Jason Weisel had an outstanding performance. The win elevated the Spikes to 38-27.
Chipping in for State College was left fielder Logan Putman. He stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. For the game, Putman was 1 for 2 with a walk.
Weisel said his team "played with focus."
