Tigers Edge Lowell in Pitching Duel
The Connecticut Tigers converted a terrific effort from starter Mike Fleszar into a win over the Lowell Spinners at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. The Tigers won the game by a final score of 1-0. Fleszar picked up the win for Connecticut, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. The save went to Elias Salinas, number 8 for him.

Mike Arnberg went 1-3 for Connecticut. The 21-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Pascoal Fradessa. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Lowell manager Mike Palmer.

This win makes it 5 in a row for Connecticut.
