Connecticut Tigers starter Travis Hyland turned in a top-notch performance against the Lowell Spinners at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. The result was a win for the Tigers, 5-2. Aaron Griffith, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. The Tigers now have a record of 30-36 with the win over Lowell.

Jarrod Kundert hit a 2-run triple off Francisco Pinedo in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Tigers in front, 4-2. Kundert had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
