Black Bears Lose Contest, 4-2
The Auburn Doubledays defeated the West Virginia Black Bears, 4-2, in New York-Penn League action at Falcon Park. Auburn pitcher Bobby Vazquez had a standout performance. Picking up the save was John Jenkins, his 6th. The Doubledays now have a record of 28-39 with the win over West Virginia.

Mike Bianchi had a big 2-run triple for the Doubledays in the bottom of the third inning. With Auburn leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a cutter from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Amezquita and swatted a triple to center. It was his 5th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Doubledays ahead, 3-0.

"Winning never gets dull," said Bianchi.
