Hayman Lifts Yankees to 9-0 Triumph
The Staten Island Yankees beat the Connecticut Tigers, 9-0, at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. Staten Island catcher Stephen Hayman had an outstanding performance. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jose Sanchez picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-5. He struck out 5 in 6.1 innings. With the win over Connecticut, the Yankees improved to 24-44.

With Staten Island leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Hayman hit a 2-run single off Connecticut hurler Francisco Nieves. It was the 51st hit of the season for Hayman and put his team ahead, 3-0.
