Tight Tilt Goes to Crosscutters, 2-1
|
The Williamsport Crosscutters, behind a great outing from Jonathan Sharry defeated the Batavia Muckdogs, 2-1, at Bowman Field. The Crosscutters saw their record improve to 30-39.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Crosscutters had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when second baseman Nate O'Sullivan hit a 2-run single. The single came off Matt Phelps and made the score 2-0, Crosscutters. O'Sullivan went 2-2 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Sharry. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
