Pressley Steers Williamsport Past Muckdogs, 5-3
The Williamsport Crosscutters topped the Batavia Muckdogs, 5-3, in New York-Penn League action at Bowman Field. The standout performance belonged to Williamsport pitcher and Stafford, Texas, native Jason Pressley. Brian Denning earned the save, his 3rd, for the Crosscutters. The win gives Williamsport a season record of 55-14.

It was an impressive outing from the soft-spoken Pressley, who tallied 12 strikeouts in 7 innings and allowed only 2 hits. Pressley, who is tied for 6th in the NYP in innings pitched with 83.2, raised his record to 13-0 on the year with 133 strikeouts.

"Big team win," Pressley said later.
