The Williamsport Crosscutters and Auburn Doubledays played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

In a low-scoring affair between Williamsport Crosscutters and the Auburn Doubledays, pitcher Manny Serrano was the difference-maker. The Williamsport right-hander handcuffed the opposition, to help his team pocket a 2-1 win. Yes, it was a win for Williamsport; but their 16-53 record is still nothing to boast about.

Scott Keys dealt the Doubledays a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Williamsport leading 1-0, Keys, the 10th overall pick in the 2108 draft, hit a first pitch sinker for a run-scoring single.

"Tough loss," said Auburn manager Maxwell Judson. "Tough one to swallow."
