Fading Lake Monsters Lose 7th Straight
The Vermont Lake Monsters got a superb performance from pitcher Jon O'Connor, but the Hudson Valley Renegades still won the game, 6-5. O'Connor threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. Hudson Valley goes to 27-42, Vermont to 26-43.

Matt Johnson was the walk-off hero for Hudson Valley. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Renegades third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Johnson said.
