Connecticut beat Staten Island in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The 8-2 Connecticut win over Staten Island was due in large part to J.D. Dadswell. The Tigers center fielder slugged 2 home runs. Jesus Henriquez closed the game out for Connecticut, earning his 1st save.

Connecticut used the hitting of Carlos Sandoval to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Tigers on top, 2-1. For the game, Sandoval had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Winning never gets dull," said Sandoval.

Connecticut, now 38-32, holds down second place in the Stedler Division.
